Happy 250th anniversary AMERICA
For the occasion, la Patrouille de France (familiarly known to us French as PAF -- the French Air and Space Force aerobatic and presentation team) have been busy during the last month flying over the East coast of the United States. It was not only in celebration of the birth of the USA but of a friendship between two nations that has endured for the past 250 years.
With a special and very unusual message to the ground (https://youtu.be/Nd1qhHCQS74?si=Ch7rnRXskMmFWQZh&t=1470) from the patrol leader (who normally only talks to his team during a flight) near the end of the demonstration. Of course it's a bit muffled because of the O2 mask.
For those of you who haven't had the occasion to watch the PAF during this month US tour (an operation codenamed by the French Air Force "Liberté 250") here's a video:
And I will borrow the own words of the PAF leader to conclude:
LONG LIVE AMERICA
AND
LONG LIVE FRANCE
That helps to have the same colors on our flags...😉
With love from France ❤️
Happy 4th of July celebrations!
