Veliguard... At least one helpful video on the internet.

Guys, I'm going to share a video with you because I'm fed up to see the toxic atmosphere that has been surrounding Veilguard and that is now aggravated by the introduction of politics in the mix. I'm talking mainly about David Gaider (yes the co-creator of Dragon Age) that has been busy on social networks insulting the fanbase saying that those who dislike the direction Veilguard is going to are just too "incels" or "chud" (whatever that means because I'm not familiar with this last term, but given the context I suppose it's an insult) to understand its vision or even going so far as saying that if the Dragon Age game you consider as the best is Origins then who cares about what you think because you were never going to buy Veilguard anyway. Quite the interesting logic there... telling people that if they are part of the core fanbase of the series they won't like the new game.🤔

I don't know what exactly triggered this full blown explosion of his and I'm not really interested in knowing. All I know is that the guy is not helping (and any attempt by fans at having a reasonable discussion with him has been failing -- either you fully share his point of view or you don't, there's no middle ground). He's not even working for Bioware anymore, he never really worked on Dragon Age: The Veilguard so really what his stake is in there is anyone's guess. What I know is that if he wanted to destroy any remaining chance for Veilguard to have a decent launch then he's doing the job quite nicely. So I don't know, maybe the fanbase should profusely thank him for sparing them the bucks. Seriously, I'm amazed that Electronic Arts  has not already jumped in to tell him to stop.

Also, if there's one thing I don't want in my games (any of them), it's politics. There's enough of that in newspapers and on TV, games do not need to be the new venue for spreading hatred wherever it's coming from, left or right, so CHILL THE FUCK OUT!

Anyway, decent information about Veilguard is very hard to come by these days. So here's where the video by Neon Knight is helping. He's a fan of the series since DAO, he's not a hater of Veilguard, he's not a fanboy praising anything with Dragon Age stuck on it either, and even better he was invited by EA to play the game for about 7 hours. The result below is his honest opinion.

WARNING, some "mild" spoilers may be involved, specifically regarding 3 Inquisition choices the player can make (the only 3 that Veilguard is considering in the whole series) so if you still have to play the game pay attention because even if Neon Knight is warning of those spoilers, giving you the opportunity to skip this part, this opportunity is very short.

Have fun.
