Note: The following is a review of a DownLoaded Content for the game Dishonored

The Brigmore Witches is the second and last story DLC for Dishonored. It continues the story set in the previous DLC The Knife Of Dunwall reviewed here. Daud is still the main character and still has doubts assailing him about the Empress assassination and the kidnapping of her daughter Emily. He knows that Corvo he's coming for him but right now he also has a new enemy to fight, Delilah and her sisterhood of witches. Those are up to no good and prepare something for Dunwall, possibly even worse than the assassination of the Empress... or the plague.

Technically, if you played The Knife Of Dunwall you can import the progression from it to The Brigmore Witches. Daud's money, inventory and abilities will be transferred and you'll be able to choose the chaos level with which you finished the previous DLC (as usual in Dishonored this chaos level as well as the way you play Brigmore Witches will of course serve to setup the end).

Overall, The Brigmore Witches is a bit on the downside. As you possibly noticed, it received a smiley a little less happy (not by much though) than Dishonored and the previous DLC. This slightly downed evaluation is mainly due to the feeling that the two first of the three game missions could have been reduced to just one. As a matter of fact it takes two full missions just to secure a transport allowing Daud to reach the witches so after a while one finds oneself asking "Remind me why this is called Brigmore Witches exactly?". Two missions just to secure a transport is a bit too much especially because the first one features a place that players already know, Coldridge the prison from which Corvo escapes in the Vanilla game (with some different parts included). This first mission could have been easily dumped but then the The Brigmore Witches would have been one mission shorter than The Knife Of Dunwall.

Regarding the gameplay one new ability was introduced to complement Daud's panoply, Pull. As the name implies, the ability allows Daud's to grab objects from a distance and pull them toward him, the second degree of this ability allowing Daud to grab even characters (insanely useful against witches whom like Daud have the ability to blink from one point to another).

Barring the lack of interest generated by a first mission not only quick but lacking luster, The Brigmore Witches is a DLC solid enough to close not only Daud's personal story arc but also Dishonored story arc in general (as both stories are connected in some ways).

And the only thing necessary for morons to triumph in our world
Is for the rest of us to naively believe that they are capable of getting better.
